Volkswagen Group Italia is Top Employer
The Italian subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group has been certified by the Top Employers Institute as Italian excellence for its HR policies and strategies again this year.
“In an unusual and challenging year from a socioeconomic point of view, this acknowledgement demonstrates even more that we have adopted the right measures to protect the health and wellbeing of our Employees, safeguarding the business at the same time. The fact that we had started a pilot phase of smart working already some years ago was a great advantage for us. It enabled us to react to the health emergency quickly and flexibly. Thus last March, the workforce having compatible tasks – the 83% of the about 900 Employees – was able to start working from home in less than 24 hours, maintaining the same levels of performance and quality. This, together with the other policies implemented by our HR Department, made possible for us to keep high standards of personnel management and business performance” so Massimo Nordio, CEO of Volkswagen Group Italia.
Raffaella Ponticelli, HR Director: “The survey on the work environment, handed out by the Volkswagen Group to the more than 670.000 Employees in the world yearly, is an important instrument to constantly monitor the satisfaction of our Employees. Well, in 2020 Volkswagen Group Italia has further improved its level obtaining the best result ever, with a satisfaction index of 90% and the 96% of participation. This is a sign of the active and effective collaboration with the Unitary Workplace Union Structure (RSU) established over the years”.
“Despite the challenging year we have experienced which has certainly made an impact on organisations around the globe, Volkswagen Group Italia has continued to demonstrate the power of putting their people first in the workplace. We are proud to share this year’s announcement and congratulate the organisations who have been certified in their respective countries through the Top Employers Institute programme”.
The Top Employers Institute programme certifies organisations based on the results of their HR Best Practices Survey. This survey covers 6 HR domains consisting of 20 topics such as People Strategy, Work Environment, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Well-being and Diversity & Inclusion and more.
